BELTA: Importance of Lukashenko's upcoming visit to China for bilateral relations emphasized

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that his upcoming visit to the People's Republic of China will be of great importance for the future of the relations between the two countries as he met with representatives of Chinese central and regional mass media on 4 May, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko believes that 2017 should become a crucial year as the countries celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Belarusian-Chinese diplomatic relations. In this light, the upcoming visit will be very important, the Belarusian leader stressed.

Belarus' participation in the One Belt, One Road summit will become another step in the development of the partnership with China. “We have achieved a very high level of trust in our interaction. The upcoming summit attests to the high level of our relations,” Alexander Lukashenko noted. He added that Belarus was among the first countries to receive an invitation to attend the summit.
